Summer Sun

Sun is beating down
On this little town

Children outside playing
Sprinklers are spraying

Father's mowing the grass
Mother's on her ass

Laying by the fan
She's gettin' a tan

Everyone's gettin' cooled
In their big old pools

Dogs are barking loudly
Prancing around proudly

I wish it would rain
This heat is just INSANE!

I can't wait 'till winter!
Take away this pain

Author notes

A loverly summer poem I write when I was about 9 or 10
