Fang and Max:
Friends, leaders, crushing- those are the facts.
Max, the leader, couldn’t do without her second in command,
that’s what she thinks seeing him lying, near death, on the sand.
She gives him a kiss as a good luck juju.
The Gasman and Nudge probably think she’s gone crazy, Fang might too.
Later at Anne’s house, he asks her to share the load.
Max's sole role as leader might cause her to implode.
The flock sticks together when breakouts with Erasers seem too tough,
even together when things are bad, food is scarce, and the going is rough.
One day, it begins getting really bad.
Why? Fang is mad.
Ari, the one who almost killed him on the beach, an enemy, an Eraser, is going to be dead.
His expiration date is soon and Max feels sad.
Ari is Jeb’s son, the father having let the flock free.
The little boy was left behind and the scientists turned him into a wolfy monstrosity.
(Max is showing empathy to the enemy)
The decision between Fang and Ari is a must
otherwise tension will strain and bust.
Although the flock goes through thick and thin,
they just can’t seem to win.
Fang or Ari?
