Just because I try,
Doesn't mean I'm weird.
Just because I'm different,
Doesn't mean I'm wrong.
Just because you don't understand,
Doesn't mean I'm stupid.
You don't know how I feel.
I tried not to listen,
I really tried not to care.
But every bit hurts,
Like piercing needles in my skin.
I try to sympathize,
To make me feel better.
It doesn't work.
I want to be accepted,
Though I know I shouldn't care.
I want you to think well of me,
Well, that was a waste of time.
I'm everything I am,
And nothing like you think.
You don't know how that makes me feel.
Author notes
This is based on all the times I've been named as something I'm not, and my feelings on that. I would like you input on it, critical comments are okay as long as they're not rudely stating something. In other words, Enjoy!

This is great, I can totally feel your feelings as I read the poem! Usually I just skim poems, but this really made me read slowly and carefully... Good job, and good luck!!!

You are definetly putting a point to the person reading this. Expecially me. I can totally relate, and if you don't know it, other people know the same feeling. The poems you write come from the heart. Great job and good luck!!
