O bouncy ball why do you bounce,
Around the floor causing cats to pounce
Upon your small red roundish shape?
You role along trying to escape,
But the cat bats you with his paw,
And behind the chair is what you saw.
There you will stay for along while,
But finding you creates quite a smile.
Again, you’ll bounce from place to place,
And around the house the cats will chase.
Once more some dark crevasse you will find,
And slip completely from our mind.

Cool, takes me back to my childhood; it was always an adventure to look behind the sofa and open a time capsule from the past filled with bouncy balls, toys, change, game pieces, barrettes, ...old kleenexs...

In the first line, you've substituted "call" for "ball".
This piece conjured some very amusing images for me, because I've been witness to this sort of thing many times myself, and it never fails to make us laugh. I like your light-hearted, "bouncy" meter, and thanks so much for entering my contest!
