Oh, my new pants be ripped and torn,
as cold as stone, as bare as bone!
We go, we go, we go to Sears
to buy the pants that last for years.
16/10/04.
The pants go ever on and on
out from the factory where they began.
The freedom from pants is forever gone;
let others escape them who can!
To burn these things with eager care
is to save the fates of many;
when all is done and all is fair,
I’ll change my name to Benny.
20/10/04.
Though here in this bright store I lie
in pants too tight to wear
beyond the logic of “god, why?”
beyond all I would dare,
above all undies go these jeans,
but not forevermore,
for I believe that fortune leans
towards pantless romps galore.

Author notes
These are lovingly copied from J.R.R. Tolkien (in terms of some phrases, overall style, and so forth). The originals are found in "The Lord of the Rings"... I'm not exactly sure which books, though.
As you probably noticed, these are quite old. I was a strange kid. These are here for archiving, despite that they suck.
Critique this, please.

I LOVE TOLKIEN! He is one of my favorites! And this was extremely humorous! So far I have enjoyed my visit to your page! You make me laugh with your creative sense of humor! Don't ever loose that!

The originals of the first two are found in Book One of Fellowship of the Ring (though my memory may be faulty on that, I know the second one definately is). The last one isn't jogging my memory, though I am currently doing my annual Lord of The Rings re-read, so I'll come across it sooner or later.
These pieces are nice and good fun, an affectionate play with the words and ideas of Tolkien's work.
Good write.
