They pull me closer,
Push me away.
Wrap around my soul and pull.
Twist and contort
Into unimaginable horrors.
Those eyes,
They see things no one should.
Warp reality into something more.
Your eyes,
They grip onto anything.
Something, anything to take away.
Contorting in pain,
Your stare makes me squirm.
No idea you do this?
Well now you know what you put me through.
Day after day,
Those eyes,
They pierce through my skin and pull,
Dragging me through endless mornings.
Something you can only imagine.
Do you know what it feels like to be left alone?
Standin on broken glass,
Falling again and again?
If so, then you know how hard it is just to look at you.
To look and remember all the times I spent in your arms.
Those safe, strong arms every girl wants,
Every girl needs.
That reassurance to be loved,
Respected.
No matter how things turn out.
To be the greatest thing in a guy’s life.
You don’t know.
Never will.
Ever.
I know that for a fact.

hmm I'm not sure how "abstract" this is....as for aesthetics, I think it would look better if each line wasn't capitalized....I thought that the ending was a bit anti-climatic.....thanks for entering
