As I peer out from the greenery,
chilled to the bone with the rain
Few minutes ago the sun was shining.
Left on my own, scared by dripping,
droplets that splash on the walkway
Slippery rain soaked tiled walkway.
Mr. Snail enjoys this August rain
He’s silly, he likes this wet stuff,
leaving a trail of slime behind him.
It’s cramping my style, I should be
running around playing, fetch the ball
With my best friend across the street.
Instead I’m stuck under this greenery,
getting soaked by a pouring rain shower.
Hey! The sun is out again I can play.

Wuah such cuteness in this one! I love the rain so I can imagine how much fun Mr. Snail was having! I like this little story you built here, and there are deeper meanings that can be found from behind these words and I like that a lot. The story fits so well with the picture, but goes way beyond describing it, showing the emotions and feelings behind the characters seen there. That's one of the best things about this contest; showing the feelings behind what you can see with your eyes.
Wonderful work with this one!
