My birthday is March 8 1971
Closest to my home is the beautiful Smokey Mountain National Park
Inside this wonderous place is a wide variety of amazing waterfalls
Small creeks that my children love to play in along with warm springs
and swimming holes.
What enjoy the most is spending time with my family, I am trying to
do that as much as possible because they are all growing up so fast
before I know it they will be gone from the nest! We all know that our
children will grow up and leave us but I don't think we ever realize how
hard it is until you watch them pack to go. My children and I have suffered
many losses and shared a lot of love so I want to remember every day of our
lives together that is why it is so very important to me to spend as much
time with them as I can.
I live in the wonderful state of North Carolina in the Smokey Mountains.
In the early morning you can see the clouds as they rest atop the mountains
making it look as if there is smoke coming from them, hence the name "Smokey
Mountains". Our town is small only 3500 people and if you know one of us you
more than likely know us all
The streets are quiet and lined with olderbuildings that bring a sense of down home country as you drive along them.
Everyone waves at you as you pass them by and we have a real friendly way
about us all. There are no long traffic jams, as we only have 3 stop lights
in our town. In the summer the leaves are so green, greens that range from
a pale green to the darkest of hunter greens. You can hear the rivers run,
the children playing in their yards it is a wonderful place to be. In the fall
the mountains look as if they are on fire with all the wonderous colors.
The feeling is amazing to this day to walk outside your front door, feel
the crisp breeze on your skin and look out onto a sea of reds, oranges, yellows
and browns. So if you ever need a quiet back home place to visit Bryson City
is the palce to go!!
