Christmas Threw Up

My daughter has a new saying this year
She is so funny and full of cheer
We were laughing about holidays past
When the talk centered on Christmas at last
She pointed out how we had spoiled them so
When it came to giving out gifts you know
Our living room use to be piled so high
It’s as if they reached up to the sky
What she said I will never forget
Was it looked like Christmas had just gotten sick
Those exact words she did not say
“It looked liked Christmas threw up”
Was her quote that day
She’s going to kill me if she sees this rhyme
Thank goodness she’s not curious about poems of mine

    Ho Ho Ho

You had me laughing. So cute the things kids will say. I have a five year old and I am just waiting for that special "Quote" he comes up with. Thank you for sharing the laughs and I hope she doesn't go nuts that you wrote this little rhyme.

lol well I don't know anyone in my family who complains about too many gifts under teh tree. Of corse, when it comes to all the wrapping paper we are buried under my brother agrees with her, it looks like our tree got sick. Cute poem

This put an early morning smile on my face. Now if I could only clear the beginning stages of dementia I'd enter my own poem as asked.
    Great work-loved it
