It has been said somewhere
That God never lays on us
Anymore than we are able to endure.
If that is the truth
And surely I believe it to be
It says so much about you, Sean.
For you have been as a modern-day Job
Afflicted to such a great degree
Yet resilient and rejoicing through trials.
Few could have gone through the things you've seen
In such a magnanimous way
It is a true testament to You and your Faith
And the power of God that you display.
For His light is made to shine
Even out of the darkest of nights
And even as the shadows of deathly valleys linger
He is there with you each step of the way!
Lord, as with Job and Joseph of old
Who were finally blessed after long painful ordeals
Will you not now release Sean, out of his captivity
And return him to his family and friends
Possessing even greater blessings than before
As a reward of his Love and faithfulness to You
Beat back the life-stripping hand of Satan,
And once again show Him who reigns Supreme
As you crown Sean with a Victor's crown
Having successfully, and even joyfully, yet painfully
Stood up to the adversary and allowed him no, not a foothold
So that in it all You were glorify, and by his extreme patience
Has be such an amazement to all, and an encouragement to many.
Lord, honor this one, and the prayers of so many on his behalf--
That the world may see Your awesome power and know
That the path of faithfulness is not easy to tread
But is staying the course, ultimately You will lift out our heads!
In Jesus Name, we ask it for Sean,
Amen and Amen!
