Christmas For Me

If I could deliver anything at all,
no matter how big or how small.
Then it would be to ease the pain,
something not so easy to attain.

I have talked to some on here,
who live a life of drudgery and fear.
Far to scared to do as they please,
where raised voices make them freeze.

To remove abuse from their days,
and see them grow in so many ways.
Is worth more to me than any prize,
to vanquish the evil that I so despise.

A smile from someone now free,
would make Christmas for me.
If we try to help, do whats right,
we can help them win the fight.

It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, however that is why contests are quite fun to hold.

I enjoyed the rhyming in this poem, I also love how well it flowed. You did a wonderfully beautiful job and should always keep up writing. Thank you SO MUCH for entering.

This is a wonderful poem. I do agree with you. There's no feeling in the world like that of freedom after suffering abused.

yeah...I know the feeling of shuddering at raised voices. I was raised around fighting and shouting and I hate it. I shrug away from confrontation of any kind and that's not a good feeling. thanks for the entry

    Brill!!!

Two cows in a field...first one says to second one "Moo!" and second one says "Awe...I wanted to say that"....my point exactly, but you say it so much better.

    Good

This poem is an absolutely beautiful story filled with love and warm human feelings. The author skillfully brought the reader into the story and we felt comfortable. Truth, fear and innocence lay silently within such words as these, waiting to be released by the magic of a poet's dream.
