Dear Heavenly Father,
Today I pray for Sean, one of our own.
Father, please cure Sean of this cancer
which has already taken so much from him.
I ask you to surround his recovery from surgery
with your light and peaceful presence.
I pray your healing balm soothes all pain.
May he feel your comforting embrace as he awakens
through compassionate care as angels
tend to his every need.
May he be encouraged each day
as he gains his strength back.
I ask that you grant him reunion soon
with his beloved Trista and his precious daughter.
May your grace flow as a healing stream
over Sean this season of new life and hope,
as sweet seraphim sing soothing songs of slumber
and restoration as he sleeps.
I pray this in your son Jesus' holy name.

His word gives us hope.

And though not religious I offer up a prayer to God for Sean and the family. Cancer has taken some of my best friends and the pain it cause all. I wish you the very best

It just doesn't seem right for me to critique a prayer since all prayers,no matter how they're worded,are precious unto our Lord and Savior. I can only say that this was definitely heart-felt and from the soul and I'm also confident that,through God's mercy,it shall be answered.
