Her body shook with the colors of his brush,
reds, whites and blues, like the 4th of July
watching it drizzle over a divided nation
where stars disappear before morning.
The picuture grew into a thought
full grown too late they're all gone
the children's bread they never asked for
dipped in sorrow's bowl, but got it

Beautiful imagery!!
Her body shook with the colors of his brush,
reds, whites and blues, like the 4th of July
watching it drizzle over a divided nation
where stars disappear before morning.
This stanza impacted me the most. I love the concept of the various colors of paint drizzling over a divided nation. That is such a powerful statement about unity as a nation. When we all work together, and take each other's hand in our own, we forge an insurmountable bond. We cry together; we grieve together; we live for each other. Bravo!!

This is such a beautiful write.
It really is amazing and written so well and you can really see that you have a fantastic talent in writing such gorgeous poetry!!
The title really adds to the poem, but it still leaves a moment for mystery to lingre, which I love!
The words that you use are really deep, and very discriptive and this poem holds such creativity!!
Good luck and Keep writing you have an amazing talent!
