Why am I scared,
So down on myself,
I just want to love,
Like everyone else.
It's like walking on the edge,
Of a dusty high cliff,
Watching every move,
Trying not to slip.
Taking a step closer,
My heart beats so fast,
I start to lose grip,
Like many times in the past.
Knowing the end,
Will soon be here,
I close my eyes,
And feel a soft tear.
Fear of the fall,
Leaving scars on my heart,
Trying to hold on,
Thats the worst part.
I wish, I could, just let it go,
It won't hurt anymore,
I won't have to hold on, to you,
The tears just start to pour.
Somehow I find strength,
Enough every time,
To pull myself up,
And leave you behind.
I try not to look back,
But I want it so much,
I will return, because,
I'll need the touch.
Every time it gets harder,
With every tiny kiss,
I know what will happen,
So I don't take the risk.
I stay away from the edge,
Where I am protected,
I will not get close,
Fearing the expected.
Why am I scared,

This is are really, really good poem, and I loved it. I haven't read such a good letting go poem in a while. It talks about the temptation, the hurt, and everything else that goes with it. This is really and exceptional poem, and I loved it. The only part that seemed kinda sketchy was the flow in stanza 6 seemed a bit off as compared to the rest of the poem. Other than that, I truly loved this poem.

Someday babe you will find the man of your dream (or woman hehehe) (Don't kill me!!!)
I know it's hard thing to do but somewhere out there is the man for you. He will treat you nice and hold you close, Cuz if he hurts you I swear to god I'll kick his azz. If that the case he wasn't the man for you!!!
