Along the Path of the Moon I Run

Along the Path of the Moon I Run

Victim to this calling...

The calling of the night.

Every step, step of tears

Is it tears of joy or blood?

Trailing for the pack to find.

Fur emerge from soul of flesh

Transform birthed from innocence

Need to be free,

For that, heart bleeds

Water, sweat and blood flow even

From my form, across the night

Hope to cloak in fogged moonlight.

In this hollow, may it rip

Apart this demon-fight within

Across the moonlight, across the shadow

Pelt the darkness with these sorrows

Here I open, Here I can be

Naked, broken spirit free

Tales the ancestors remind

Purge into shadows, I may find

Only with this open mind

Their legends I may realize

Only, Only when this beast

Is released, into the night

Unchained, unscathed, I am fine

Searchign for the way through moonlight.

Author notes

option 1?--sorry, no cult stuff, no pentagrams. I don't go that way, adn I don't endorse it in my poetry.

dang it repeated myself a lot.

Beautiful fantasy poem with outstanding lines. My two favorite: "Hope to cloak in fogged moonlight" and Across the moonlight, across the shadow." Congratulations on the silver!
