to tell tales
of the unknown world
filled with
candy canes and sugar plums.
Waiting until the

Here's to hoping
for an understanding gaze,
eyes ripe with arsenic
are better than those
with contempt.
It's not over yet
but it will be.
I'll drag it out
until all the
left over colours
run from your face.
And who knows
maybe it's gone
faster than virginity
on frosty nights
by the fireplace
when all that you wanted
was a love song.

I understand if this isn't what you were looking for. The phrase just kind of inspired me. What this is basically about is cheating in order to have an excuse to get out of a relationship.
