Time isn’t a second,
or a sound, or a movement,
it’s where I am and you are.
Time isn’t something you can save,
see, or savour;
it passes at a distance -
unnoticed.
Time is my favourite thought
and favourite place to be,
it’s where genius creates,
the curious chance
and where you wait
for me.
or a sound, or a movement,
it’s where I am and you are.
Time isn’t something you can save,
see, or savour;
it passes at a distance -
unnoticed.
Time is my favourite thought
and favourite place to be,
it’s where genius creates,
the curious chance
and where you wait
for me.

a good piece of poetry penned, ah time, it stretches across herts at times, i have seen that film yes, i wasn't sure which one it was so i had a quick look online. time captures us all, we are slaves to its rhythm.

awww this matches it so well. I LOVE IT. GREAT PIECE.

hey,,

i like this piece for many reason, but the main one is that it does not sound childish and its powerful.
great write, keep it up honey.

Having seen the movie, I thought this piece was a beautiful representation of it. I think you capture the essence of both time, and the sentiment of the movie quite nicely. There's a great rhythm to this, also.
Congratz on being published, and clappy dudes!

Love this, and I loved the Lake House too, I thought it was great. I even went and bought the book after seeing the movie, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. This fits very well with the theme of the movie, too. The poem flows wonderfully, seamlessly to its conclusion. This is definitely one of the better poems I've recieved in this contest, and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing it, and good luck. Also, thanks for including the author's note, very few people took the time to do that, and I appreciate it.

this is truth about time -
But also, in the grand scheme of things, 'Time' is immaterial. We try to form and mold 'Time' to suit our own needs and wants. 'Time' is so much more than that. And, as I have said, at the end of the day, 'Time' is immaterial, it matters not. It is a continuation of the past present and future to come.
You are a wonderful writer. I like this too. So many lines in your piece above that I liked here. If you are not on my favorites list, you are going on it now. Wonderful writing.

Inigmatical--as I have not seen the film--but still very well done, and yet another approach to Time, that most curious of "things" which has no being or substance! bravo...
