Of all the poems I've written
None have been about the Lord
So I decided to give this to him
And not because I am bored
He's the one who gave me
This skill with words and music
I'm surprised by how bad I have been
That I don't just lose it.
Dear Lord, I thank you
For everyone here, I pray
Bless them with your grace
And protect them, everyday
I'm sorry that I've ignored you
I have sinned so bad
I didn't want to kill you again
Oh Lord, I must have been mad
Please, Lord help me
To follow through with my promise
To love and walk with you
It doesn't matter how long the road is
It may be hard, but you'll hold my hand
When I fall, you'll pick me up again
You mean more to me than what I can say
My Lord, My Saviour, My Friend
Thank you for everyone here,
If they are reading this
Let me show them who you are
Or encourage them, give them bliss
Dear Lord, I thank you for listening
To my cry of sorrow, my plea
I pray you help me to realise
I'm living for you, not for me
And lastly, Lord, please forgive me
For I know I will sin again
Thank you for being with me
In your holy name, Amen

I love it. Yes we all ish jesus freaks but not many people I know write poems about the Lord. (i confess, I dont that much) I really loved this one!!!! Rock on!

I like it I think, it has that sort of spiritual understanding that I am afraid I am losing... My life choices pull me farther and farther from who I am and where I should be going... and this seems like what I might say if I could take it all back. It makes me sorta sad.
