diary entry

the room is a blue stone
of refracted light

we move easily

through

it is cool
and soothing

comfortable here
we dream, remembering

in a dark womb

well before eyes,

the heart beats

What I find about your poetry is that you are subtle with almost hidden messages. If one didn't read it right they would miss the whole point. Now that, to me, makes a damn good poem. From you there are many of them.

While our dreams haunt our thoughts and dim over time
somehow they can be captured in few but written rhymes

    Love this title

Your titles always seem to draw me in and then I never expect what I read from the title.

You have a calming way about you.
    Warms the soul

    Inspiring!

This made me think what a fetuses dreams must be like, how pure and untainted by life, an absolute representaion of human creativity. I really love the last bit.

This is a beautiful write with good use of metaphors. The last line made me think of the first moments of life. So very true that the heart beats before the eyes open. Keep writing.

You are so good at this thing called poetry and I simply admire your ability to write in such a subtle and understated way, yet still say and show the reader so much.

This is wonderful poetry, Al - all the shades of a day. I don't keep a diary, but each poem is a diary, isn't it? Beautiful.

My diary entries are so dull in imagery compared to this... lol. ("I went to the store..read a book... had a weird dream, etc." )
    Beautifully done.
    I love the first line.

do you understand how good you are at this?

this piece is so subtle and laid so perfectly on the page- it speaks to my heart
on the most primal level- the
    greys indeed- the sightless
    heart still beats-

the concept of the poem is fantastic- just one of my favorites by you- and don't get me started on the title..
