Broken angel

I cover my face to hide my tears.
Sitting here in the black lace you dress me in.
Waiting for you to come back.
In this dark room only lit by the candle's light.
Reflects on my pale skin.

I want to fly and get away but can not.
My wings are clipped and my innocence gone.
My love is no more for I hate him.

I wait for him again in this candle lit room,
crying my black ice tears stinging my face.

Hes here with his evil smile and evil gray eyes,
waiting for my sweet pain and demise.

I am his angel but broken

    Interesting

I found this poem to be pretty good. I personally thought it could have used a little more rhyme, however I loved the symbolism beyond the text.. but thats the beauty of poems... great right

An interesting take on the prompt chosen. It almost seemed as if there was more to it, possibly stifled... A good write. Thank you for your entry!
