If only I could believe,
Through all the things you've said,
The things you did concieve,
Will you lay me to bed?
Sleep does not relieve,
All the pain like a book to be read...
A prisoner of the times,
No one is saving me,
One without two is only a mime,
Of things that were never free,
If only two hearts could be like a rhyme,
Then perhaps I'd see,
That love isn't a crime,
This is our story,
Decisions unjust,
Even though you say you're sorry,
With love and with lust,
This time it is just as gory,
Do as you must,
If we both cared,
How could it end,
I admit I was scared,
And I thought that you to me god did send,
I dared,
You walked in,
And took with you,
Things I could call a sin,
But it isn't true,
I just can't seem to win,
But that is what happens when one is two,
I believed.

c."I cannot wake up in the morning
Without you on my mind
So you're gone and I'm haunted
And I bet you are just fine
Did I make it that easy
To walk right in and out of my life?"

Ahhh...this is the writing I've come to expect from you! Wonderful, full of emotion. Good luck in the contest!

This is a very thought provoking take on the prompt. As if the love was forced, one somehow pretending in the end, mimicking the motions without the feeling anymore. Nicely done! Thank you for your entry!
