Build me a broken bridge
So I may not rely on it.
Have it bend and sway from side to side
So that I dont cross over it.

Build it with missing planks.
Build it on tattered rope.
That way when the rain beats faintly on it
It feels like a hurricane has grown.

Make it simply of old dry wood.
Crumbly and consumed by termites.
Build it long and up so high
So I have no faith walking across it.

Build me a broken bridge
So I wont rely on it.
This is the only way I wont have to scream
When I fall right off of it.
