Life Of A Teddy Bear

Here I sit upon my window sill,
Just as every day I have so much time to kill,
I wish that someone would notice me today,
Pay me attention and ask me to play.

It seems that no-one wants a battered old teddy,
Who is here at hand and is always ready,
Ready to let loose and have some fun,
All I want is a friend , not a few just the one.

I long to be cuddled and shown some affection,
For someone to compliment on my fury complexion,
I’m not asking for a lot out of life,
Maybe to fall in love and find myself a wife.

For too long have I sat waited,
But no longer will my feelings stay hesitated,
I am going to shout them from the roof,
If they want to see my feelings I’ll give them proof.

I shall let my tears roll down my face,
As I sit up here in my lonely place,
Then maybe just maybe someone will care,
And show interest in the life of a Teddy Bear.

I really like this poem. It's sad and puts human emotions into an inanimate object. Very well written.
