I have not traveled far
Nor read every single book
But my knowledge it is great
It is
For I have heard the sea.
I heard it in a sea shell
A rushing wooshing whoop
From somewhere deep inside
The earth
Or maybe deep in me.
I do not know and cannot tell
For though I've heard the sea
It could be my imagination
Is just
Tricking me.
I do not understand myself
This is my greatest flaw
For though I've seen beyond myself
My insides
Are like a wobbily see-saw.
For I have never looked inside
And seen so very deeply
Because I think I must see
More than
I see naturally.
Now I know but its too late
That I should have been glad
To see inside only
Myself for
Looking too far is bad.

"...insides is..." would be better stated as "...insides are..."
Nice structure to this piece.
