My Decadent

You will never understand the nature of my arrogant misanthropy.
These enigmatic eyes form the skeleton smile of prudent vanity.
I am content in the sanctuary of my complacent shadow,
so take this synthetic reality and throw the world out the window.

I tried desperately to restrain my corrupted perfidy,
to prove I'm not just another silenced face of absurdity.
This smile I call upon to feed my burning abyss of emptiness,
provoke the secrecy of my tormenting credence.

I grasped blindly at the pain of my self-indulged paradox,
causing my ardent memories of significance to be lost.
These eerie delusions that taint my shallow mind to autopsy,
slowly dissipating the subconscious soul of our fallacy.

My weakened patience succumbed to my self-destructing anger,
allowing the beauty of profanity to flatter.
I breathed in the static heresy of twilight,
to fall asleep in the blissful ache of my lullaby.

Place the blame on my moral deterioration,
to satisfy the pride of my placate aberration.
I wander in my deceptive labyrinth, blind and broken.
Keeping secret of this solitary bane, my decadent.

Some of the rhymes seem a little bit forced and you seem to have stretched the narrative to fit in with your need to rhyme. And where's the rhyme at the end?

    • you pointed out that there is an absense in the rhyme at the end. well, it doesn't exactly rhyme either at the end of the third stanza does it. My need to rhyme doesn't affect my writing in any way and that is why there are some parts without rhyming. For those parts without rhyme, I insert words that gives a comfortable flow to the stanza.

I appreciate your comment but I don't see any benefit of it.

Wow.... I love Ev, and that song is amazing too... You're an amazing writer, and your use of the word 'enigmatic' made me smile! This was written with such talent, something that people seem to be lacking in these days. Well done, and I am looking forward to reading more of you soon.

    AMAZING

the title is not just filled with meanings but it subtely prepares the reader for the following atmosphere.the first stanza begings with some very thoughtful and intriguing word-combinations.
"grasped blindly at the pain of my self-indulged paradox,
causing my ardent memories of significance to be lost.
These eerie delusions that taint my shallow mind to autopsy,
slowly dissipating the subconscious soul of our fallacy."....I will virtually bookmark this particular stanza as it left a somehow bitter-sweet flavour behind, mainly because of its style and rhythm.
the genearl tone in here(as in most of your poems) make the reader feel deeply involved both witnessing and being part of each and every experience, receiving answers and poping-out new and intriguing questions.
this poem ends not in the abrupt manner but flowing-like above meanings.
    I LOVED IT TRULY!
    BRAVO!
