Sometimes we enter seasons
sooner than others do
Some have experienced sadness
that others have yet to
Some have achieved their life's dream
while others are still dreaming
Some are in their summer years
while others~their autumn ones
Each phase of life
holds its own beauty
Each offering valuable insight
to enhance the journey here
We must not hold on so tight
that we miss what
the next season longs to bring us

This touched me on a profound level. A wonderful write. I think we all need to accept the seasons of life and enjoy them as they come. Thank you for entering the contest.

A wiser than wise piece composed on the motions thru the oceans of seasons in life.I personally feel like I'm on a roller coaster missing visions needed sometimes. And I'm not in a hurry either.Depths on metaphores of the prompt envisioned here.

Oh Vickie, I was just thinking of you this am and thought I see if you been online and I read your report on your page how God healed you of cancer. I am so glad sweetie. Thanks also for honoring me on your p age that was such a heartfelt thing for you to do. Now to the poem this is very nicely done and reflects such a hope to it and yet through the hard times still the blessings to be thankful about. Or take those things for granted to realize to quickly those things could be gone. I should share a dream in closing I had with you. I dreamed I had lost everything or close to it. Somehow though I had managed to find a baby blanket somebody in my family had hand sown. Well I remember being so thankful just to have something as that still with what I had lost. I believe I woke up thankful to the Lord for what I had. Its so easy to take things for granted sometimes. I am so glad your okay. I love you. ♥

Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Bravo!!!
Vickie, This is so true and your words left me sighing at their beauty. Words of wisdom from a sage are what I saw here. He chooses earthly angels to send forth his message and you are one of them. Your strength, courage and perseverance constantly ring out in your writing. If I were forced to choose favorite lines here it would be the ending. We do hold on tight, though we mustn't hold on too tightly or we will miss what is to come. Thank you for sharing the gift of your pen once again. Love you my friend, Joyce

I like how you have brought together the seasons and the many phases of our lives. Some get to each stage before others. You gave the pic life and meaning!
My best to you with this delightful piece!
Blessings,
Frogz~

I like how you have linked the seasons to life's passage .As one who is awaiting winters cold grip let me say that the earlier seasons were all and more than i ever expected. So it is with great anticipation that i wait for winter to set in
