You became, not what I knew:
A faded image
of love lost within the need
to forget how my name
once whispered across your lips.
How you walked in
like a dream and shifted
as a nightmare – I cannot awaken!
I cannot discover a distance great enough…
Or find the path gentle enough to lead me home.

Beautifully crafted, as always. Your words have made quite an impression. Well done and congratulations on the bronze.

This is rich! Sad but beautiful! The prompt is throughout this work poet! Often our dreams are imagined, not what we initially assumed. Your poem speaks clearly of estrangement. A very clear picture is drawn here. Excellent! Thank you for this entry and I wish you the best.
Much Love ♥
