I'm sick and tired
of being looked down on
Just because the way I am
They make me feel wrong
"Overachiever" and
"Teachers pet"
That's what they call me
But they don't know yet
Of the real me
and how I want to change
But how can I do that
My life needs to be rearranged
But I love who I am
and I don't want to be
A poser or faker
It's my future I can't see
I'm sick of this label
and the profiling too
I'm tired of it
It's over I'm through
My only escape
Is through my writing
Everyday I'm in a battle
And I must keep on fighting

a good piece of poetry, well it is better to be an over-achiever than an under-achiever i think, it will stand you in good stead later in life.

Writing is just the place to vent, I do it a lot. I loved this, I could tell you were angry about being profiled, I hate it too. I'm with yah girly!!!

as always I love your work here. I understand where you're coming from, I'm always being labeled and judged too and I hate it. I spend the night with a guy, automatically I'm a slut, I make a nice comment to a teacher and suddenly I'm sucking up. It's stupid and what's worse is everyone does it without even getting to know a person. If this is you venting then I suggest doing it more often. lol

it is a very good vent and a whole lot of ppl can re-late. I know I can! Labels suck, but you shouldnt have to change urself just to make others happy.The ppl who are unaccepting of who you aren't worth your time. This is a good write!
