voices with echo’s laughter
unite as aroma drifts, and amidst
contentment’s gaze, children
play hide and seek
with Charley Chaplin-style
they rush to answer beck and call,
and serving those in their wait,
they tender plastic smiles
while closing brings end of day
exhaustion plays tricks with feet;
tables set for another race
within these aisles of madness
