~Temptation

This sooty night,
vibrations in the air
announce excitement and fear.

In front of me,
two glowing eyes pierce my soul
like a cat in the dark.

Her feline look confuses me.
What does she want?

Fascinated
by her sensual appearance,
but also scared -
not knowing what will happen -
I keep staring at her,
wondering...

Will she jump on me,
put her claws in my skin,
eat me raw?
Or will she caress me
with her soft black fur
and purr in my bed?

Desperate needs
lead to desperate deeds.

Quickly I start running,
away from this beguiling monster,
for suddenly I realize,
I am gazing
in the eyes of the devil.

    Fascinating and unusual

Oh, changing the picture into a cat/monster is brilliant. The black cat matches the 'sooty night' and everything unfolds from there. Also the free verse gives the imagined experience a tremendous lift, pushing it forward to the conclusion. You have a very sensitive use of English. Just keep on writing like this and you should pick up some worthy trophies.
    Good luck.

    Joy
PS: I'm still trying to find out how to give you rewards as well as an award. When I do, you'll get some.

Thanks Joy. You are too kind. When I deserve something I think it will come my way.

Really great metaphors this is, my friend I am not so sure though if you were talking about a black-haired woman, or a black cat. Thinking it's the last one, but not sure

The last line in my poem gave the answer!

but the devil can still be a metaphor for both or am I missing something?

The devil shows up in all kinds of appearances: in this case a woman with the features of a cat.
