Your Father's Plea

Missing image
Oh Kelle my child, my precious one
harken now unto my voice,
there's nothing that you could have done
to take the drugs was Matthew's choice.

I know it hurts you beyond measure
to hear those words from me,
but Matthew's here among my treasures
now safe and sound for all eternity.

You are so angry I do understand
but there is a rhyme and reason,
I'm in control with a master plan
why you only had Matthew such a short season.

Remember I knew Matthew before he was born
as I convey to you this revelation,
from this earth just maybe he had to be torn
to secure his destiny of eternal salvation.

Perhaps it's possible I saw something ahead
so black like the deepest dark well,
far worse than the drugs by which Matthew was led
sending his soul reeling into the depths of hell.

He's so happy here Kelle and finally at peace
but he asked this one favor of me,
Please stop my mom's tears bring her pain to cease
I'm living on in sheer beauty, totally free.

Enough about Matthew let's move onto you
start casting ALL your cares upon me,
know there is nothing I won't get you through
though there are times when you can't even see.

Watch the wonderous powers of my healing
as you surrender your trust today,
cry out to your father come to him kneeling
I'm here and I hear when you ferverently pray.

In your life you've had pain and much devastation
but remember I make all things new,
you are one of my chosen so without hesitation
let me mold and make you as one of the few.

From broken pieces and shattered dreams
to a life that has been restored,
raising you up though ripped at the seams
I'll be the heavenly father you once so adored.

All things will come together for your good
as for Matthew so it shall be,
his life will count like I said it would
I'll teach the devil to try and steal from me.

Countless miracle accomplished in Jesus's name
from what Mattew's life on earth set in motion,
Satan watching his judgment while becoming defamed
from deceit of the lies he spun like a potion.

So count the blessings you still have on earth
your time with them don't sacrifice,
there's two other children in which you gave birth
with your loving husband you have Mikaela and Bryce.

Matthew and I watching from heaven above
as the rest of your lives unfold,
wrapping you all with insurmountable love
the end of life's story is yet to be told.

Cherish the memories holding dear to your heart
cling to them when sadness nears,
to be Matthew's mother I chose you for the part
you honored it well as it shows through your tears.

Author notes

This was written for Kelle {Stavykm} Just maybe God saw something so horrible in Matthew's future he wanted to spare not only him but your entire family from what this thing was and why he had to take Matthew from this earth. It is just a thought. But he is a loving God and knows what is best for his children. Maybe he just wanted to spare Matthew from a life of constant battling with drugs and you the feelings of helplessness, I don't have the answers but this was on my heart all night last night so I wrote it down for you.

    Oh My Goodness

It is so wonderful to read this a few months later. Wow Toni you have encouraged me in the Lord as no other. I really mean that. This prayer poem is one of my very favorites and Christina's too. It is so true and now I can see God using my pain and suffering to help others most of the time. I still have my moments of grief but in the Lord I shall stand and being reminded that Matt is safe in Gods hands. Who would have know what could have happened if he was still here. Yes like you said maybe the Lord spared us much more heartbreak then we could ever bare. I love you Toni. Thank you again for this beautiful poem...

    Love You Very Much,
    Your Sister & Friend,
    Kelle Marie

    Just Beautiful

Just beautiful and you give me hope and direction Toni. This poem helps me to remember to surrender and get on my knees. To do my best each and every day for the relationships I still have. This can be a very difficult task at times. I'm so grateful to you and your gift to write such beautiful poetry. So spiritually inspiring and encouraging for me to read. Thank you again for writing this beautiful poem from my son and from God above.
    I will always love you
    Your sister and friend

Its beautiful; and touching, i'm sure Kelle found comfort in this work of yours, though none of us truly know the answer as CountryCousin said. Its still a very touching piece of work.

    I do not believe.

I do not believe that any of us truly do have the answer. This apparently was a heart felt piece to the mother of Matthew. It sort of startled me at first because I know a Kelly and a Matthew who are mother and son. This Matthew is eight years old now. However I truly hope she takes your piece to heart.

A very kind and thoughtful poem for someone who has obviously been devastated by this event. You chose a difficult stance to present your comfort from but it shines with concern and good feelings. I hope they find great comfort in this.

    Life

The gift of life that we often take for granted . then is a flash one that we love is gone. Pain and only God can be the soothing balm to ease it. So well stated

    Very Good

An outpouring of emotions that surges up from the heart and splashes against the page. This explosion of feelings is like a wave of emotion washing away the tears and hurt that has gathered within her life. Like a cleansing rain the author pours out her soul and beliefs. Your heart is talking through your words and the reader is listening with respect to you and reverence for your message. Great human depth and emotion.

    I' m Speachless

Oh Toni this is the most powerful poem. Your thoughts are probably true about what could have been a bad thing Matt continuing to try to live here on earth. The other part of my family does need me and I'm trying to do the best I can. I'm at the motorcycle races today to watch Bryce race. My husband brought his computer with Satellite! So I'm able at this moment to read this honorable poem for my son, for God and for my family and myself. You are an amazing woman of God and I so do love you my dear sister in Christ!! The title Your Father's Plea is so perfect, so very perfect and a divine right, truly I believe a vision from God, Toni!! The first line Oh Kelle my child, my precious one. Then the last line To be Matthew's mother
I chose you for the part you honored it well as it shows through your heart. Oh God loves you Toni and so do I. I will cherish this poem forever! Reread my poem from last night it wasn't finished when you read it the first time. I finished it last night with many of tears. Blessings for always, Kelle Marie, stavykm
