As the sun peeks through the pane,
my mind awakens and realizes
I have been staring at the blank parchment
lost in thought for hours.
Drifting from thought to thought
memory to memory like stars in the heavens
some elusive some lost in the darkness
never to be found again.
Where are the words that used to sing out loud
as my heart burst with love
now time seems to have stood still last night
buried mid my heartache.
My once mighty pen now empty has run silent
though the sun brings a new day
my words are an echo of yesterday's happiness
written with inviable ink.
Words of love disappeared with no trace left behind
now the parchment lay bare
except for the stains from my falling tears of sorrow
that accompny me this night.
No longer words to be written from within my heart
the page would be full of sadness
writing of such sorrow would only be a reminder
how much I am missing you.

Beautiful Write,
this reminds me of my muse when she recently took a 3 month vacation, without warning, of course, and I would stare at blank parchment for hours, only to find the page filled with invisible ink, and I did miss writing so much. This is a lovely, and thought evoking write, very deserving of applaud.
