Life so fleeting,
The light flickering,
Fading to the cold and dark.
Feeding thoughts of night,
Moonless, starless,
The clear sky so dark.
Death reaches,
Icy and empty,
Embrace it as the candle dies,
Passed all care and feeling,
To the place of eternal sleep for some,
Nightmares unceasing for others.
Are you ready to take my hand,
To embrace your fate?
Time is almost ended,
The crows announce the coming,
Coldness and darkness will engulf all,
Leave no regrets,
Just let go.
Death will take you
As surely as the crow flies.

hm. Very simplistic idea. No doubt dark. "Feeding thoughts of night" I loved this line though, and I love the ideas behind it. Good luck in my contest and Thank you for entering.
