I love how you smell in the morning
Before you awaken, before you jump in the shower,
Before you coat yourself with artifice,
That is the breath that animates this humble clay
I can gaze upon your architecture for an eternity,
Trace each tantalizing curve with the care of a blind devotee,
Whisper "I love you" in at least twenty languages against your skin,
And you smile not so much for the words,
But for the tones, and how my breath feels upon you
I love how you look at me
When your eyes shine on me like furnace-crazy supernovas
And the sides of your luscious lips start to curve slowly upward,
My entire body becomes senseless,
And I forget my own name
All I know is that must come to you, come to you,
And feel the press of your gentle arms
Enveloping me in their sweet aura,
And my bones and ligaments become chromium-clean,
And everything functions smoothly
Everything
I love how you accept me with all my flaws and inhibitions
You erase the Book, and let me know wordlessly
That all is forgiven, that all is permissible,
That I am the bright center of your universe

And that you will always be

Wow...this is really beautiful. First, before I forget, I want to thank you for commenting on my piece, "The Ganges." I am glad you enjoyed the work! I was wondering if people would understand the piece.
Anyway, I love this poem! I can relate to it completely, I am in love like this right now.
I loved the lines:

So so beautiful, and not cliched at all. I love the scent of someone you love, perhaps it is pheremones at work, but I think its love playing in my heart.
I can't think of anything I would change with this poem..but if I think of something, I will let you know.

Wow !! When I grow up one day I hope I can write like this...absolutly fantastic words that capture everything Love can be...I don't generally enjoy love poems , one , because I'm a miserable cow , and two , because they always seem to be written in a very cliched way...but you break free from the norm and pen words that are so original...
