Joy To The World

Joy to the world as we bow our heads to pray,
Our Lord has given us a wonderful gift this day,
Young hearts and old will forever sing out His praise.

Together let us join hands,
Opening our hearts, united all over this land.

Trumpets playing covering the earth,
Heavenly hosts singing of His birth,
Extolling our new born King’s worth.

Worldwide let this news be spread,
Our hearts no longer mislead,
Refusing to wallow in dread,
Listening to His words instead,
Descriptions of His birth forever widespread.

The King is here,
Hearing all that we fear,
Extending opened arms to forever hold us near.

Lord we bow down before You and pray,
Only following where You led the way,
Rejoicing in Your birth this special day,
Declarations of Your love I will forever say.

Inspired by Your truth and grace,
Standing forever in Your loving embrace.

Come; let us rejoice in Him,
Our hearts no longer grim,
Merry Christmas as the tree we trim,
Exhilarated love as we worship, and sing our simple hymn.

    Thank you for your entry

I really like how each stanza rhymed on the last word of each line. It gave a nice rhythm to it and the message in the poem was just what Christmas is all about.

    God Bless and Merry Christmas

Great acrostic! The flow seemed a bit off at some points, but the rhyme itself was fantastic. Always beautiful to write of the holiday seasons. Good luck! ;P
