I'm waiting for world to change,
So everyone will see,
Life without war and hunger and such,
Without homophobics and poverty.
I'm waiting for the love of my life,
To come and sweep me away,
And every minute I'd love them more,
We'd grow with every day.
I'm waiting for my taste of fame,
For only five minutes; or ten,
But once the audience saw me once,
They'd want me again and again.
I'm waiting for the government to change,
And actually stick to their word,
The money wouldn't matter; they'd just want to help,
Would it really be that absurb?
I'm waiting for a lot of things,
A few may actually come true,
But am I really waiting; or wishing hard,
I really don't have a clue.

I like this one. A wise poet said to me that you shouldnt write for the contests, but write for yourself. But sometimes you can't wait for things to happen, you gotta make it happen.
