Lost, forgotten
Amidst the screaming branches
Tattered by this world
I trudged on
Guided by my light of misfortune
My cries were muffled by the night air
So thick and pungent
You were my beacon of silence
Arising from the depths of the ground
The soil still matted to your beautiful hair
Your arms outstetched you let out a cry
That shook the gods from thier pedastels
I stood stiff
I could not run away
Because you were all I had
And all I wanted
My hand sought the warmth of your gown
The flowing mascarade that surrounded you
I was so close
I saw the dancing embers in your eyes
Warming my heart before its last beat
Hypnotized by your presence
I fell to my knees
Begging for your touch
Your kiss
And my anticipation was well feed
My life was blinked away
I took a breath outward
Trying to pull you in
Though your force was greater pulling me out
My heart left my body
No longer burdened by worldly things
I was nestled in your embrace
Your lights dimmed, blinding me with darkness
You abandoned me
Taking only what you craved
And leaving the beaten shell behing
I crawled to my inner peace
Lathargy took its toll
I dreamt of your carees
Your face
And when morning came
I was lost and forgotten
Among the screaming branches
Unbelonging to a soul
And unwanted by a body
