"You have all the chances
A girl could ask
So don't ever misuse them
Because you won't get them back"
What chances do I have
That you never did?
Sometimes you don't know
What it's like for a kid
"How is it hard
What can go wrong?
Study and try harder
Or your future is gone."
No second chances
I can't make a mistake
You hear the words I'm saying?
Don't put others in their place
"Damn it, try harder
What's with these grades?
You got a D in Spanish?
Cuando? Por que?"
No hablo espanol
No me gusta hablar
I hate conjugating
It's so freakin hard
"What's your GPA?
A 2.7?
Good going girl
I'll take an early trip to heaven."
Thanks for the advice
And the support and the belief
What happened to the thought
That I could do anything?
No second chances
No time to guess
Once you go wrong
The worse that it gets
That's what they've taught us
That's all that I know
I know more of their beliefs
Than I do of my own

KILLER ending lines. The theme is one easily related to, and the plain language and rhyme really add to what you're trying to say. You have served up verse on a golden platter, and we, as readers, are happy to partake.

this is very well written, i love the use of spanish, girls and boys do get treated differently, it kinda sucks, but girls dont all get the breaks..good job
