It's christmas eve night,
The children fast asleep.
with thoughts so deep,
They can't wait for christmas mornings delight.
As we decorate the tree.
We turn to see,
A flash go by.
As we look to the sky,
What could it be?
It's my papa dear,
Driving up on a sled.
with horses dressed as raindeer,
and he's all covered in red.
pulling up by the shed.
Dressed as santaclaus,
Ringing his bell.
Singing jingle bells,
As he continues without pause.
The children awake,
As they stumble down to see.
Their eyes light up with glee,
I knew he was not fake.
It's santa mama,with a look of grace,
as they sit with a gift covered in red ribbon lace.
Their hearts full of joy,
As they open thier toys.
With tears running down santa's red rosy face.

Thanks for your entry
How sweet and very precious. I am sure that santa had a wonderful gift of is own that didn't come wrapped up but was shown on those bright smiling faces of the little ones.
God Bless and Merry Christmas

This poem seems choppy. There are some typos I think should be corrected, might be better if you re-read it. Other than that, I enjoyed what it was about. Thank you for entering.
