This poem is TOO LONG
It took me forever to read it. -
-
Still laughing!
Making up for brevity. Previously:
I had started a short reply
to tell alas I lack the time
for duty calls, when I lost
three verses by accident.
Vexing when the lines comply
And yes they even rhymed,
as this will too, but tossed
together and somewhat bent
with enjambments, deny-
ing need to end sublime
line with comma. Just
bear with me, I just went.

why work waits impatiently.

Mostly, it is fast. I guess you'd have to experience it.
To explain, English is my second language, French the third, and answers come without translating the words.
Thank you!

Yes, indeed it really is. This line is powerful and thought provoking. I wish you the best of luck in the contest

Thank you Kari! Taken for granted too.
Ironic aside: We have a bilingual country in Canada, yet all of the political TV I watch on cable has voice-over translation when francophones speak. And vice versa.
Annoying. Subtitles could be ignored; what subtle nouances get lost that way?
