Watching; waiting, you kept me at a glance,
sauntering over gallantly, smiling.
Soft lips grazing raised hand, you ask to dance,
such wit and charm, traits I find beguiling.
A minuet begins to play slowly,
effortlessly gliding, a perfect pair.
This music it was made for us solely
and the look of love the two of us share.
The terrace awaits, 'neath wispy moonlight,
where sweet lavender fills our senses.
Laughing, we dance outside on summer’s night
and between us there are no pretenses.
It's then you whisper softly on one knee,
my darling, be my wife, please marry me.

This is such a sweet poem, I have tears in my eyes. As I was reading this I had the picture of cinderella and her prince charming in my mind. I love how at the end he proposes! (I am a sucker for romance lol) Great write!
