I walk into the fading sunlight
My windblown hair astray
Stepping through uneasy
Cares of the day
And in the tumbling days' last glimmers
Ten thousand cicadas 'round me chirped
Ten thousand figures above me lurked
A million whirling thoughts
A million ways to kill precious time
The fireflies' glimmering was strangely warped
To see worlds inside faded leaves
To forget the path you walked and loved
To lose yourself adrift in sylvia's depths
Amongst an eerily droning sea above
The dark murmurs of intangible secrets
The dim green trees of life sigh afloat
Lost in a grim icy sea
A desperately clinging boat
