My friend, sarah, pointed him out to me,
A face sparked memories of the boy who slammed his head against his locker
and made me laugh.
"I loose a brain-cell everyday" he would gloat
a friend.
but not a crush in the slightest.
2nd grade how long ago it seemed.
his name long since forgotten, even though it hadn't been that long.
of all the days for my memory to fail me.
Sarah crossed the street and said hello
it had been a shorter time since she last saw him then i had,
[with the changing of schools and all]
she didn't introduce me, i figured he would remember, even if i didn't.
he didn't.
i insisted i knew him to the point where i almost argued.
Sarah had fleed, laughing at my expense.
i burst into laughter as i obviously had looked "the fool".
i dashed across the street.
when i returned home
i changed my allpoetry name to the name Sarah had properly given to me,
Yelling Street Nut
but it appears i have yet again forgotten the boy, his name, his face, but i guess i still have the funny story of 2 young girls harrassing an innocent boy, who had no idea what hit him that day.
