The Nymph

Her white wings flutter past me in a daze of light,
The glimmer of her eyes pierces my heart,
The touch of her bosom igniting the flames of my desire,
As a toying smile plays upon her lips,
Her laughter percolating in the air
Like the scent of rose petals crushed underfoot.

Love-struck, I pause to gaze at her beauty
Like a moth drawn to the light of the moon,
And as our eyes meet, my breath ceases,
And I fall spellbound under her visage;
Our hearts intertwine, a joining of souls,
And we drink deep from the rivers of passion and ecstasy
Two soul-flames burning in the throes of love.

And as I whisper to her my eternal and undying affection,
My devotion that outshines even the brightest star,
She vanishes in a cloud of smoke and mist,
Tendrils wafting into thin air,
And her scent still lingers, like honeysuckle,
Her laughter echoing through the hollows of my heart,
An imprint that shall remain upon my heart forever.

this is a pretty good write, I have used a lot of the same metaphors in my poems as this one has, I suppose I was not as original as I thought.
