Kissing The Night

The darkness swallows
Into bitterness.
As I walked over
To the other side.

I smiled at him,
The Night,
And sparked with them
The Stars.
Wishing only
To kiss it.

Kiss the night
I'd love you so.
Won't make you wonder
Friend or foe.
Kiss the night,
Just one more time.
I wish for stars
To quickly shine.

Kiss the night
I'd shine so bright.
As the moon and stars cry.

I've never really written any poems like this before. "Kissing the night" is just a random person I saw on the 'online' list when I was looking for a screen name to put.

There was very much meaning in this poem. it was a very pretty piece. it was like a short story, perfect with just the right words, vivid imagery, so clear, just like the night sky itself. I emjoyed this a lot! I applaud you!
