The One
I think at last I’ve found him, the one man who’s for me
he'll want me as I am, accept all that he’ll see,
from the very start his voice was soft and low
I knew he was the one, I felt his love was slow.
We lingered over dinner, I melted in his gaze,
candlelight was dim, we’re surrounded in a haze,
his finger touched my hand, my blood began to race
I nervously withdrew, a blush upon my face.
He didn’t seem to mind, he sensed that I was shy,
he shook me by the hand as he spoke a soft “Goodbye”,
a few more dinners followed, a picnic by the lake,
a simple kiss upon his cheek, the first move I would make.
What we had was courtship, the good old fashioned kind,
our love grew stronger day by day, we didn’t seem to mind,
I sensed that he was nervous he didn’t touch his meal,
a key lay on the table, I knew my heart he’d steal.
He took my hand and smiled, the moment felt just right
we walked across the foyer, tonight would be our night,
he pulled me closer to him, his arms around my waist
with parted lips he kissed me, tongues touch, exquisite taste.
His touch so very gentle, dispelling all my fears,
he knew that I was nervous and kissed away my tears,
we sat and drank champagne, talked and kissed and played
music drifting from the street, entwined our bodies swayed.
Undressed we stood and gazed at each others naked form,
passions rising, heat expelled, the calm before the storm,
he lay me on the bed, his fingers burned my skin
my body screaming, “Yes!!! I need you deep within”.
My man would not be rushed, to love me was his art
as though I were his canvas and on me paint his heart,
the backdrop were his kisses each in it’s perfect place,
his mouth to leave it’s mark, his tongue to leave a trace.
He had complete control of my body, mind and soul,
resistance I had none, his power made me whole,
to savour every moment of a love not too be rushed,
his kisses on my thighs I knew my face had flushed.
His hands upon my hips as he entered me with feeling
took my breath away from me and left my senses reeling,
ecstasy in waves through both our bodies coursed
the nature of our love, forever reinforced.
