This Rose

See this royalty; this rose -
Queen amongst Queens:
this contradiction of emotions
tenderness and passion twirling
around a stem of yearning
and of dreams

See this romance; this rose -
Poem amongst Poems:
this everlasting love born
amidst the crucifying thorn
listen to her fragrant flute
to the rhythm of her mood

See this promise; this rose -
Invitation amongst Invitations:
this secretive bond of souls
which unfolds without motion
which dwells upon the spell
of pure imagination

See this royalty; this rose -
enter into the Kingdom
of her heart

    Brilliant, truly amazing...

I loved every word! The last stanza was perfect; roses are always associated with love, but very rarely are the poems surrounding them so well executed. I wish you luck in this contest...

Thanks all! I am convinced that the Ultimate Woman is symbolized by a rose ... which ever variation or cultivar, does not matter!

Lovely writing! Nice format and style. Very descriptive around the one cohesive unit, the 'rose'.
