Christmas eve
you sat there watching me
doing my version of a long
slow tease.
groaning a laugh in to my mouth as you picked me up carried me to bed.
Those little white panties with the tiny lights were the sexiest things you said and you laughed at my blushing as you always did
Your hands so strong and warm.
God I loved your hands the very strength of your body.
The differences of us me so soft and you so strong.
We made love all night in to Christmas morning under that quilt your grandmother made us.
All we had that year to give was each other.
Snowed in at sugar mountain building condos on the top in the dead of winter.
All those protesters out by the creek calling for our blood ruining the sky line. News reporters TV crews. You pushed me behind you and stared them down.
Trying to get our company off the ground.
That winter before it got so cold and so bad was magic to us.
Only the good die young.
Wrapped up in your arms I was so loved.
We had pumpkin pie from a service station for breakfast.
The most beautiful Christmas ever.
I have that memory.
