He was the First book from the new testament,
and the fondest look at my love expressed,
Matthew my blond-haired beach baby,
23 short verses ago.
How does fate choose the forever young,
Such a precious life, erased too soon.
This cherished chapter of my life closed,
much like the bible at his funeral.
I long to crawl into this picture,
and hold him close again,
in his pure and perfect state,
perhaps that is what heaven is,
perhaps in the last chapter of my book,
when I at long last reach the end
somewhere in it's Revelations I will find,
him runnning to me on stubby little legs,
arms wide, smiling brightly,
on the shores of a distant paradise,
born again.

Oh So Beautiful
Thank you, he is a pretty boy! I like the title Born Again it goes very nicely with this poem, the first line He was the first book from the New Testiment, last line on the shores of a distant paradise, born again. Amazing really. The imagery in this write is so true my baby beach boy. Then maybe seeing him running to me on stubby little legs, arms wide, smiling brightly, on the shores of a distant paradise, born again. Thank you for entering and writing this poem on the picture and good luck in the contest. Blessings Kelle Marie, stavykm
