Not Done!

Stones
Smooth like glass & heavy in my hand
Carelessly tossed aside & forgotten by humanity
Carved lovingly by nature & protected by earth

Water trickles slowly down the stream
Carving away the land to make room as it must
Calmly accepting hurdles & gracefully destroying them
Making no headlines, making no ripples

Tides change, oceans reflect a broken planet
The ocean crashes into the rocks, carving them anew
The earth has created a place for the rocks & sea
The earth has a place for you & for me

Nature, though never thought of, always seen
The butterflies & fireflies, pleasing to your eyes
Winds blow through your hair, tickling your bare neck
Leaves turn pleasing shades & fall to the ground with grace

Winter comes & blankets the earth in white
Pretty & wonderland like, each blanket falls
